Coronavirus Guidance for Schools

Cumberland County Schools COVID-19 Update 3.23.20

Today, in an effort to limit the spread of COVID-19, Gov. Roy Cooper announced that North Carolina Public Schools will remain closed for students through at least May 15, 2020. Later this week, Cumberland County Schools will share additional information regarding plans for virtual teaching and learning over the next several weeks.

“Our top priority continues to be the health and well-being of our students and employees,” said CCS Superintendent Dr. Marvin Connelly, Jr. “We will continue to identify ways to maintain strong connections with families while school buildings and offices are closed.”

The district encourages everyone to follow the most up-to-date guidance provided by local, state and federal health officials. For more information, visit: www.cdc.gov/COVID19www.coronavirus.ccs.k12.nc.uswww.co.cumberland.nc.us/covid19, and www.ncdhhs.gov/.
